What have fear and Strongholds got to do with healing?

The last three posts had to do with fear and strongholds...and many of you readers may be wondering why?
When we visit the doctor with an ailment there could be two reasons for it...one is physical and the other spiritual.
If you get wet in the rain, you are liable to get a cold and maybe a fever.
How about something like diabetes, heart disease, Why does it recur in generations. Why are some getting cancer when people living with them, doing the same things as them and eating the same food do not get it. Medical science treats the disease not the underlying cause. We can treat the cancer, but why is it that some smokers live till 90 without any sign of the disease, while it manifests in others at a very young age.
I believe it has to do with the soul. A person that sins, is liable to suffer from some disease. The reason for that is when we sin, we deprive God of his rightful place in our soul. When God leaves, it makes room for evil to enter and they bring all forms of ailments in their wake.
When people have trauma in their lives there is an element of fear at that moment. When we try to protect ourselves without the help of God, we block him out of those areas of our lives and thus we allow spirits to gain access to those areas in our lives and so sickness can result.

In the article by Joyce Meyer, she talks about what we can do about fear. However, some may find it a bit difficult to follow. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and have faith in his name can do the following....Say the following
In the name of Jesus....I renounce you fear and trauma.
In the name of Jesus ...I command you spirits of fear and trauma to go to the foot of the cross to be judged and sentenced by Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Please comment if you have any positive or negative reactions

Fear

The Key to Overcoming Every Fear You Face
by Joyce Meyer

Everyone experiences fear in their life. There are big fears we are very aware of and little ones we may not even realize we have.

I've learned that it's very important to understand what fear is and how it works against us because if we don't, it can keep us from becoming what God created us to be, which means we won't fulfill our purpose in life.
Fear's Evil Scheme
“ God wants us to walk by faith, and Satan wants us to walk by fear. ”

Fear is a tool the devil uses against us to make us miserable and destroy our lives. It begins as a thought and then creates emotions that can rule us. It often becomes a strong, intense feeling that tries to move us to make a foolish action or tries to prevent us from doing something that would be good for us. Because it's such a common way that Satan attacks people's lives, I think of it as the master spirit he uses to manipulate people and keep them out of God's will.

Simply put, fear is the opposite of faith. God wants us to walk by faith, and Satan wants us to walk by fear. When we learn to live by faith and not let fear rule our life, we can live a fulfilling, satisfying, peaceful and joyful life in Christ.

Like I said before, fear begins with a thought. Proverbs 23:7 tells us that "as [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he" (NKJV). I like to say it like this: Where the mind goes, the man follows.
Finding Freedom

This is why the Bible talks about meditating on the Word of God and having our minds renewed (see Romans 12:2) so we can know what God's will is. Meditating means you roll the Scripture over and over in your mind until it becomes part of you. Meditation takes information and turns it into revelation.

When you get revelation about something, then you know that you know that you know it, and the truth of it sets you free from the lie that was holding you back from something God had for you.
Is Fear Holding You Back?

I wonder how many people actually have gifts and talents from God but they aren't using them because they tried and failed?

So many people are frustrated because they know they're not doing what they are meant to do and are letting fear rule them.

I want you to get a revelation about this because you're not going to ever be really happy if you don't fulfill your potential and be who God created you to be. The key is to learn who you are in Christ and see yourself in Him.

When we become born again through a relationship with Jesus Christ, we actually become "recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do good works which God predestined…for us…[living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]" (Ephesians 2:10 AMP).

So whatever Jesus is, we are too. He is strong, and in Him, we are strong. He is courageous; in Him, we are courageous. He is a conqueror, so we can be too. He has peace and joy, so we have peace and joy. He's capable and bold. In Christ, we can do whatever we need to do with His boldness.

As you read the Bible and meditate on what God says about you, you will be able to recognize the fears in your life that are holding you back and overcome them by seeing yourself in Christ. Then you will find you have whatever you need to do what you are created to do.

Do I have a stronghold in my life?

After reading the post on strongholds, one must be wondering..Do I have a stronghold in my life? If so how do I identify it?

Each of knows what is good and what is bad. If one were to think about ones life, we can see certain patterns beginning to emerge. for eg. a dislike to being at certain places at certain times, the use of certain words causing us to react etc. Sometimes the area that is being protected is very evident at other times it is buried deep and has remained so for a great many years.

The good news is that " Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" Hebrews 13:8 and also in Mark 4:22 ""For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light."

Deep rooted strongholds can be revealed when we ask for them to be revealed.  Praying to the Holy Spirit to ask to reveal the source of the strongholds in your life can make you aware of them. A simple prayer such as " Lord Jesus you have said -John 15:7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. I ask you to reveal to me the source of the strongholds in my life.

It is important that we should surrender our lives to the Lord for him to reveal to us whatever we ask him. A prayer of surrender from Linda Schubert's Miracle hour may be found here.

Strongholds

All of us to a degree have a stronghold in our life...

By definition a stronghold in the normal sense of the world is a protective barrier that is designed to protect us from harm.

In the spiritual realm a stronghold is a system created in our minds to protect ourselves.

Most of us have faced some sort of trauma in our lives. Being hurt and feeling helpless is not very comfortable, so we start to design a system to protect ourselves from hurt, because at that precise time when we are hurting Satan tells us that you need to protect yourself, because God did not come to your help when you were suffering. This couldn't be further from the truth. God is our protector at all times, in every situation, because God Loves US.

For example a woman who may have been ditched by a boyfriend, may choose never to associate with boys to protect herself from being ditched again and may thus never marry and treat boys with disdain.

Unless we demolish those strongholds, the love of God will never permeate into our souls. The area of our stronghold will inhibit the action of God in that area of our lives.

Healing....a journey

We all face problems....be it health or in relationships. We all need healing and there is no one better than Jesus to heal us. The Gospel is full of accounts of the healing power of Jesus. There is no one who approached him with a problem that he did not heal including, raising people from the dead.

The good news is that Jesus is alive and his healing power is available to us even today. Most of us I would say suffer needlessly, because by his cross he has borne all our sins and griefs and by his stripes we are  healed (Is 53: 4-5).

In keeping with this day and age, we all want to be healed instantly without changing our lifestyles or realizing what caused the problem in the first place. We have to first lay the ground work in our lives to allow Jesus to heal Some of us have serious sin in our lives while others may have blocks that do not permit healing to occur.

My own experience has shown me that " The Miracle Hour" by Linda Schubert is a good starting point to come to grips with the problems that beset us.

It might be difficult at first to go through the whole hour at first, I would suggest you go with the litany of Praise and Spiritual Warfare first and then gradually move on to the other items as you feel motivated to do.
